Customer Spotlight: YMCA Youth Association Coordinates Leadership Programs Using GQueues

The Kentucky YMCA Youth Association provides year-round leadership development programs for middle school, high school and college students throughout the state of Kentucky. Their staff of 16 employees, interns and seasonal contractors work together to plan and implement opportunities for service learning, civic engagement and personal development.

Amanda Chism, Senior Program Director, recalled that in 2012, the KY YMCA’s CEO noticed that staff were challenged with balancing several programs and set out to find a better way to manage their workloads. He was drawn to GQueues because it allowed him to manage more efficiently, while giving staff a tool to keep up with their tasks.

Since adopting GQueues, Amanda observed that it’s brought noticeable improvements in efficiency and morale among her team. She tracks her personal and professional tasks in her individual account and encourages her staff to do the same. Amanda shares a queue with each of her employees, where they update tasks together during bi-weekly meetings. “GQueues has helped me become a better supervisor, and for my team, it’s provided organization and accountability that we did not have before,” Amanda noted.

Customer Spotlight: Vierbicher Coordinates Land and Community Development Projects Using GQueues

Vierbicher is a multi-disciplined consulting firm based in Wisconsin, founded in 1976. Their team of engineers, planners, landscape architects and surveyors provides a high level of skill and expertise to private and municipal clients on land and community development projects.

In 2011, Engineering Manager, Craig Mathews, realized that his team needed a consistent task management system to keep them organized and on the same page with their projects. When he discovered GQueues, it had everything they needed to track daily tasks, collaborate on projects and manage weekly team meetings. Craig also loved that it interfaced seamlessly with Google Apps, making it simple for them to integrate it with the work they were already doing.

Since adopting GQueues, Craig has noticed that it’s greatly improved communication amongst his team. He explained that each active project has its own queue that’s shared with everyone. Thanks to deadlines, assignments and notes, people can see updates on their projects in real time, without having to sign-in to different accounts. In Craig’s opinion, one of the greatest benefits of GQueues is its ease of use, which has improved his team’s efficiency. “I like that GQueues is clean, intuitive and easy to use,” he noted.

Customer Spotlight: Real Food for Real Kids Serves 15,000 Children Per Day Staying Organized with GQueues

Real Food for Real Kids (RFRK), founded in 2004, caters fresh, nutritious meals and snacks to child care centers, elementary schools and camps throughout the greater Toronto area. Over the last 12 years, the company has grown to a team of over a 100 who plan, prepare, deliver and serve nutritious food to 15,000 kids daily.

For several years, the RFRK team stayed organized using email communication, but as the company grew, Lulu Cohen-Farnell, RFRK’s founder, recognized that they needed a more efficient system for collaborating and managing tasks. In 2014, she discovered GQueues and fell in love with it right away.

Lulu and her team quickly realized the benefits of using shared queues to assign tasks and reminders to ensure that projects were moving forward. Lulu explained that it’s felt great to check things off when they’re done and know that she’s getting people what they need to do their jobs.

"If you have a lot going on, GQueues is a helpful tool that brings down your level of stress. You don't worry if something's being forgotten and you feel on top of things,” Lulu noted.

Customer Spotlight: Azusa Pacific University Department Supports Online Learning Using GQueues

University College is the online and adult division of Azusa Pacific University (APU), based in Southern California. Since 2011, they have offered affordable and flexible degree options for non-traditional students. Mike Wilday, Managing Lead Technologist in the Learning Design and Engagement Department, joined the team shortly after the school was created.

In 2014, Mike had been personally using GQueues for a few years when his department began searching for a task management system that would support more efficient collaboration. The team tried several others, but none of them integrated with Google products, which they had been using since their inception. Mike explained that it made perfect sense for them to adopt GQueues since it integrated so smoothly with Google Apps for Education.

Since choosing GQueues for the Learning Design and Engagement Department, Mike and his team have been able to focus on things that really matter, like designing learning tools and courses that will help students succeed. He explained that putting all of their to-dos in GQueues has helped them stay on top of things and complete projects more efficiently as a team.

“For the cost and for what you get out of the product, it's extremely affordable, and extremely powerful, and it just continues to get better,” Mike noted.

Customer Spotlight: Business Cloud Reduces Stress For Their Team and Clients Using GQueues

Business Cloud Inc is a Canadian-based company that specializes in transitioning businesses from their current IT infrastructure to a cloud-based system. They are an official Google Cloud Partner and bundle their services with several third-party apps, including GQueues. Their eight-person team provides unlimited support and customer service to small and medium-size businesses across Canada.

Before discovering GQueues, the Business Cloud team was using Mavenlink to manage large projects, but lacked a system for organizing their daily to-dos. Cheryl Sweigman, Account Manager, was introduced to GQueues in 2015 when a client requested support with adopting it in their company. As she dove in to learn more, Cheryl quickly realized that it had exactly what her team needed in a task management tool.

Business Cloud was founded on G Suite (formerly Google Apps for work), so features like Google Drive integration and GQueues for Gmail make their work even easier. “If someone emails you a task, you can automatically link it to GQueues to organize yourself better,” Cheryl noted. She loves how GQueues keeps everything in one place, so she never has to worry about missing things.

Business Cloud’s goal is to use technology to relieve stress for businesses so they can focus on their mission statement. Knowing that GQueues had already helped her team accomplish that goal, Cheryl explained that it was an easy decision to enter into an official partnership with GQueues in 2016. Now when clients work with Business Cloud, they have the option to add GQueues to their package and receive ongoing training and support from the team.
